The Garden Is Tilled!

I just remembered that I needed to add a new post about my incredible vegetable garden. The raised bed has been tilled and the soil has been enhanced with compost. The seeds have been selected. While this year, we will be attempting to follow "The Creek Indians" concepts of planting the three sisters, Corn, Squash, and Pole Beans in one bed. The Corn will provide stalks for the beans and squash. This experiment should take up about 1/4 of the bed. The remainder will be planted in Bell Peppers, Jalapenos, Tomatoes( three different varieties), Banana peppers, and a few melons. Hopefully, this garden will get us through this election year summer that Obama is going to terrorize us with his re-election campaign.

Cole's Ten Beach Challenge (year 2)

We're going for it again. Cole and I are going to hit ten beaches this summer. He is definitely getting bigger, and enjoying the warm beach outings everyday. We actually started back in March when the temperature shot up to 87+ degrees. It was warm enough for us to go to Hilton Head layout and wave ride. So get ready for a big year and few new images from our South Carolina,Georgia, and North Florida coastline. Here are the first five beaches of 2012:

1)Hilton Head (completed)
2)Hunting Island, Beaufort, SC.
3)Edisto Beach, Edisto Island, SC.
4)Tybee Island, Savannah, Ga.
5)Daufuskie Island, SC.

It's April : Turkey Season, Beach Bum Style!

Yes, it is April 2012! Winter has finally been vanquished. As one of the Low Country’s landed gentry , my time is spent between calling Turkeys with my Brossie Turkey call, the very best on the market, during the weekdays and cruising the beaches of Hilton Head & Tybee Island for long legged ladies on the weekends. If this Piss Poor economy persist, or Obama gets re-elected, this apathetic style of amusement might continue for four more years. His policies have prevented economic growth in a host of local arenas such as the residential building, restaurant and hospitality industry, and timber /paper industry. What has been, or seems to be making money is the financial vultures’ business from banking to stock speculation. These guys are now driving better vehicles(mainly hybrids - tight bastards vehicles) and cashing in on the foreclosed properties of hard working people, who took chances during the earlier growth of the 2000’s. I do need to quantify that it isn’t most bankers; however it does seem to be the aggressive bankers of Wells Fargo, PNC, and TD Bank (Canada). I do need to confess that I should be looking for more work during the weekdays, but it is extremely slow here for this time of the year and the weather is perfect for Turkey season. It’s not that I don’t go into my 8:30 to 5:00 job and attempt to call customers , new leads, and technical support for past customers. It’s just my new and old customers are also hunting for Turkeys too, because the Obama Recession is still thriving here Savannah and the surrounding localities. Even my son loves Turkey hunting, check out his huge smile while his uncle is cleaning Gobbler.
Tobe used a Brossie to call this beautiful Gobbler into range.
